About Us
Patrick and Nadine Grover have spent a lifetime working with animals, from dogs and cats to multitude of  farm animals. Nadine worked in an SPCA Veterinary Hospital for over 10 years. We have owned a small farm on 20 rural acres in Northwest Washington State since 1992. As we moved out of large farm animals the pastures and barns were converted to runs and kennels. Our larger dogs enjoy the freedom of 5 acres of fields and 15 acres of woods, all fenced for their safety. We will not allow our females to have more than one litter a year and they are retired from breeding at 6 years old.

We do not ascribe to the extremist view that the only dogs worthy of life are those with AKC pedigrees. We raise both AKC registered and unregistered Pomeranians and English Springer Spaniels with emphasis on personality and health rather than showring qualities. Our dogs are  well socialized and get along with a wide variety of animals (cats, sheep, goats, donkeys and, of course other dogs) as well as children.

Our English Springer Spaniels are the field variety, not the show variety. They have the shorter coats and birding instincts coupled with abounding energy and dedication to their owners that make them perfect for hunting, running or just relaxing with a friend at your feet, by your side or, more likely, on your lap.

Our Pomeranians defy the image of yappers often associated with the breed. They will alert you to visitors but will remain quiet when told to. They like nothing better than to be held and petted or to curl up next to you and have a nap while you read or watch TV.

We have taken both our Pomeranians and Springers through Basic Obedience Training at Cedarwoods Canine Academy in Ferndale, WA. They have made near perfect scores on the AKC standard scoring method, far above their classmates. We also train selected dogs for service and therapy dogs. We start the basic training shortly after birth so that a puppy ready for adoption has a basic understanding of manners and is well on the way to becoming the pet you train them to be. We feel that puppies need the first 8 weeks of life in their liter to develop their personalities and become socialized.  We discourage removing the puppy before 8 weeks but do alow selection at 6 weeks of age.

Our objective is to provide our customers with pets and companions that can become as much a part of their family as ours have become our family. Our dogs are our grandchildren, even to the point that most whelpings happen on the floor next to our bed, if not between us in the bed.... and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Our puppies are always welcome back, either for a brief stay while their owner vacation or for rehoming because their owner can no longer care for them. Over the years we have had only 3 puppies return for rehoming due to a change in the owner's crcumstances. Dozens have returned for day visits or longer "doggie summer camp".
